Corn on the Cob

 

A quick, easy and delicious way to prepare corn on the cob.

 

4 whole fresh corn on the cob

4 tablespoons butter, optional

 

 

Variation 1:      

4 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon curry powder

 

Variation 2:   

2 tablespoons butter

 2 tablespoons Italian salad dressing

1 tablespoon chili powder

 

Variation 3:

4 tablespoons butter

1 finely minced, seeded jalapeno pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

 

Remove husks and silks from corn.  Trim ends and wash.  Do not shake off excess water.  Place in microwave casserole, alternating ends (one large end, one small end, etc.)  Spread with desired spice variation before cooking, or cook without spread.    Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes per ear (according to size of corn niblets).  Let stand a minute or two before serving.
